According to the “No Campaign” No to Abuse and Imprisonment of Baha’i Residents, as reported by Human Rights Activists, unidentified elements have cut down twenty year old trees using an electric chainsaw at the Baha’i Cemetery in Orumiyeh.

On the afternoon of Friday, 21 August, some unidentified individuals started to cut down the twenty year old trees at the cemetery designated for the use of Baha’is in the city of Orumiyeh.

This is the first time such an incident has taken place in Orumiyeh, although previously similar events have taken place in the city of Isfahan.  The cutting of the trees has been reported to Orumiyeh police detectives; however, so far the perpetrators have not been identified.

Destruction and confiscation of Baha’i cemeteries and prevention of Baha’i s from burying their dead has been among incidents that Baha’is have routinely faced; many similar occurrences have been reported in various cities of Iran in recent years.

    from the Persian Hidden Words:

    O REBELLIOUS ONES!
My forbearance hath emboldened you and My long-suffering hath made you negligent, in such wise that ye have spurred on the fiery charger of passion into perilous ways that lead unto destruction. Have ye thought Me heedless or that I was unaware?
