Haghighat-Pour added: Religious minorities are legally recognized in Iran. Of course, Baha’ism is a minority, created by the British, that is not recognized by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This minority is similar to the Wahhabis in Saudi Arabia. These two movements aim to annihilate the Shia and Sunni Sects; they are not allowed, and will never be allowed to have activities in Iran.

Emphasizing that the US needs to create hype in the Middle East, this elected official of the ninth Parliament said: “In the Middle East, Americans, Saudis and Zionists are bankrupt groups that plan to show off through false claims.”

The Vice Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Islamic Parliament reiterated: “Americans should know; raising additional false claims will not put any pressure on the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

On Wednesday October 14th, the US State Department published its annual report on the extent of religious freedom in the world. This report has once more criticized the Iranian Regime’s policy of repressing religious freedom, and has provided a list of numerous cases of religious discrimination.

While this is happening, Baha’i citizens are generally deprived of civil rights, including the right to obtain higher education, to obtain a business license, to have cemeteries and to perform religious ceremonies. Many of these citizens have either been sentenced to long prison terms or are incarcerated merely for performing their religious ceremonies. Among them are the leaders of the Baha’i community who are spending their seventh year in prison.

The Islamic regime in Iran is a corporation run on corruption, murder, and lies. This “mullah corporation” will do anything to make as much money for their own pockets at the expense of all minorities and the general Iranian population that does not follow their 7th century backward and fanatic beliefs. There is absolutely no way any sane person can trust them.

It is hypocrisy at its greatest, that in all Muslim majority countries (Shia or Sunni) all minority groups based on religion, gender, political affiliation, etc are abused and not given their basic Human Rights. Yet, they cry out “foul” when some of their followers are mistreated in a country that is not Muslim majority.
