According to a report from the “No to the harassment and imprisonment of Baha’i Citizens” campaign, Farah Baghi, a Baha’i citizen, was released from prison after serving her one-year sentence.
Some time ago, on August 1 2011, Farah Baghi, along with 16 other people, was arrested following raids by Ministry of Intelligence agents at these citizens’ homes in the cities of Yazd, Isfahan, Arak, and Kerman.
After 2 weeks, 3 others were arrested, and the list of detainees totalled 20.
All detainees, after about a month, were released from prison by posting a total of approximately $400,000.
After about a year, their sentences were issued by Branch One of the Revolutionary Court of Yazd, and the 20 Baha’is were sentenced to a total of 58 years in prison, including 38 years of discretionary imprisonment.
