HRANA: At the end of his 5-year prison sentence, Kamran Morteza’i Farid, a Baha’i, has been released from Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj.

According to HRANA (Human Rights Activists News Agency), Kamran Morteza’i Farid, a Baha’i compatriot and a professor at the Baha’i university online (BIHE), was released from Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj after completing his 5-year prison sentence.

In 2011, this Baha’i, along with six other Baha’is ‒ Riaz Sobhani, Noushin Khadem, Mahmoud Badavam, Ramin Zibaei, Farhad Sedghi, and Kamran Rahimian ‒ was arrested on a charge of teaching and working with the online Baha’i Institute of Higher Education. He was sentenced to five years of imprisonment and kept at Raja’i Shahr prison.
