Puts me in mind of this Hadith of Mohammad: “A day shall be witnessed by My people whereon there will have remained of Islam naught but a name, and of the Qur’an naught but a mere appearance. The doctors of that age shall be the most evil the world hath ever seen. Mischief hath proceeded from them, and on them will it recoil.” And, again: “At that hour His malediction shall descend upon you, and your curse shall afflict you, and your religion shall remain an empty word upon your tongues.”

The Baha’i community is characterized by peacefulness, truthfulness and transparancy, love for all and service to the world of humanity, reverence for the Prophet of Islam and all the Prophets, reverence for His Holy Book of Islam and regard for all the Holy Books, and obedience to the law of the land. The behavior and practice of the Baha’is clearly elevate that quality recognized everywhere as noble conduct. No verse of any Holy Book condemns the conduct of the Baha’i community, and likewise, any pronouncement against them by contemporary authorities that claims as it’s basis verse of any Holy Book, has twisted the obvious meaning of the Book and abused its intended purpose. Peace upon those who see goodness in good. May this dear person be quickly released and restored to her family.
