Harana News – Iqan Shahidi and Sama Noorani, two Baha’is deprived of their right to an education and jailed in Evin Prison, have been facing extended interrogations in order to force them to give confessions on television.

As reported by the Committee on Human Rights reporters, an informed source has stated: The case investigator has repeatedly pressured Shahidi and Noorani, demanding that they accept on television the accusations leveled against them.

This is in spite of the fact that 40 days after the arrest of these two Baha’is, who have been denied their right to an education, no information is publicly available about the charges against them, nor the reason for their arrest.

During their latest telephone contact, they mentioned the reason for these interrogations. Since their detention, Shahidi and Noorani have visited with their families only once, during Nawruz (Persian New Year).

Iqan Shahidi, 21, and Sama Noorani 20, were detained on the 11th and 12th of Esfand (2nd & 3rd of March) in Kermanshah and transferred to Evin Prison (in Tehran).

Not just two, even if 2000 sincer Baha’i youth are captured and forced to confess to untrue and fabricated aligation woud concent to do it. Even if they did it wouldn’t stop God’s plan and process of building the new divine civilization with the Oneness of Mankind at its core that Baha’u’llah offers to mankind in this day and age.

    We shall overcome (prejudice)
    We shall overcome

    We are not afraid
    We are not afraid

    God is on our side
    God is on our side

    Deep in my heart ,
    I do believe
    That we shall overcome (prejudice),
    Someday.
