Conviction of a Baha’i living in Qaemshahr

HRA news – The appeals court of Mazandaran province approved the conviction of Masoud Ataiyan.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Māzandarān_ProvinceAccording to HRA reporters, in recent days the verdict of the court that had convicted a Baha’i living in Qaemshahr named Masoud Ataiyan [see http://www.iranpresswatch.org/?s=ataiyan] to 10 months imprisonment  was approved by the appeals court of Mazandaran province; the result was announced to his lawyer.

It should be mentioned that this person was kept in solitary confinement for more than 3 months in early 1388 A.H. (2009 A.D.).

In addition, at the moment another Baha’i named Simin Gorji [news of her arrest was reported here http://www.iranpresswatch.org/post/237] is spending her term in Qaemshahr prison.

    It calls forth the deepest and heartfelt prayers from our being for those who would suffer only because of their love for their Faith and therefore for humanity… This calls forth the question of what we, in the relative comfort and freedom of our own lives, can sacrifice and accomplish for that same Cause?
    There will be no peace of mind or tranquillity of heart without that being addressed…

    My heart goes out to all those beautiful Bahai’s in prison because of their faith. You have my utmost respect and admiration. The world is watching.
