According to “BahaiNews”, quoting informed sources: The businesses of two Baha’i citizens who own an eyewear store were shut down.
According to the “BahaiNews” report, agents from the Interior Ministry only allowed the two Baha’i citizens to look at the Isfahan Province Prosecutor’s warrant, but the verdict has not been delivered to them.
Mehrdad Haghighi and Kourosh Peerjamali have been carrying on their business activities even though they were interrogated by security agents twice in the past, when during the search of their place of business, their personal property, books and pictures related to the Baha’i community were seized.
In the past few days, the Vice President of the Iranian Optometry Association announced that Baha’i citizens have a role in the country’s manufacturing and importing of glasses, and that in some way they have an active presence in this industry. However, at this point no connections have been raised between this official’s announcement and the closing of this business.
