HRANA – Tara Hooshmand, a Baha’i resident of Shiraz who had participated in the national university entrance exam this year, has been deprived of higher education despite passing the exam.
According to reports from HRANA News Agency, the news organization of Human Rights Activists in Iran, Tara Hooshmand, who had participated in the national university entrance exam this year, when she visited the the IRI Assessment Organization site, realized that she could not choose a major and has been deprived of a higher education.
A message at Tara’s account at the IRI Assessment Organization reads “Refer to Tehran, Karim Khan Zand Ave, #204, the Assessment Organization, the second floor.”
It is worth mentioning that Baha’i citizens who are unwilling to declare Islam as their religion are being banned from higher education.
With the new academic year, the trend has continued: in recent days, at least two other Baha’is — Roohieh Safajou and Shadan Shirzai — who have been deprived of higher education, have broken their silence.
