According to BahaiNews, the businesses of Kambiz Sedghi, and Kourosh Sedghi, who owned interior decoration stores, have been sealed shut by agents of the Office of Public Property.
As reported by BahaiNews, according to a close source “a few agents and a colonel, accompanied by two judges, were present at the time of the sealing of the stores of these two Baha’i residents, after which, despite holding valid business permits, the agents shut and sealed the businesses of these two Baha’is.” This close source said “the agents arrived at the store in police vehicles, and asked these two Baha’i residents to take their personal items and leave the store in ten minutes. Kambiz Sedghi informed them that there were many items in the store that belonged to various clients, which needed to be delivered to them; they spent from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm collecting customer orders, followed by the sealing of their businesses.”
This informed source stated: “Kambiz Sedghi took photos of his workplace as it was being sealed; when the judge asked him why he was taking photos, he informed the judge that he intended to let people know that his business was sealed because he was an adherent of the Baha’i religion.”
Over the last week, at a minimum, 110 Baha’i businesses have been sealed simply because they were closed on Baha’i religious holidays.
