HRANA news agency – Hami Bahadori, Baha’i citizen is serving his sentence in Evin prison. Despite his poor physical condition, he has been deprived of being transferred to hospital and medical treatment with excuses from prison officials.
An informed source close to the prisoner’s family told HRANA: “Mr. Bahadri suffers from diseases such as skin fungus, severe hemorrhoids and knee problems, migraine headaches, toothache, back and neck pain. So far, he has been deprived of proper medical treatment and being sent to the hospital.”
According to this informed source, “During this period, he was deprived of medical treatment several times due to various excuses, including the lack of a soldier or a car, his opposition to wearing prison uniforms when he was transferred to the hospital, by the order of Hedayat Farzadi, the head of Evin Prison.”
Hami Bahadri, a twenty-seven-year-old Baha’i citizen, was arrested by the security forces on October 22, 2022 and was taken to Evin prison. He is currently living in Ward 4 of the prison.
Mr. Bahadari was previously sentenced to five years in prison by the 15th branch of Tehran Revolutionary Court headed by Judge Salvati for the charge of assembly and collusion and to one year in prison for the charge of propagating against the regime. This sentence was finally upheld by the Court of Appeal of Tehran Province.
With the application of Article 134 of the Islamic Penal Code, the punishment of five years of imprisonment will applicable to him.
