BIHE Human Rights House of Iran, RAHANA [RAHANA 22 May 2011] At around 6 am, the authorities went to the homes of Amanollah Mostaghim, Mehran Behmardi, Amin Talei, Naghmeh Mostaghim and Shahnaz Samei.

According to the Human Rights House of Iran, detained resident Amanollah Mostaghim was transferred to No. 100 Shiraz Detention Center.

They have then referred to the workplace of Mostaghim and have taken some of his belongings which were unrelated to the university. It is evident that they were looking for his faith related belongings. They have even taken the prayers book which has been in the bag of his secretary.

In the house of his daughter Naghmeh, they confiscated some of the belongings such as her laptop and computer but they did not arrest anyone.  They have first asked her to refer to No. 100 Detention Center on Wednesday.  They have then cancelled the appointment and have told her that they will inform her of the time later on.

At the other houses, they have searched the place and confiscated some of the belongings but have not arrested anyone. The authorities were also looking for Nazila Hashemi, the wife of Houshang Misaghian, another member of the online Baha’i University.

Our prayers are for the strong soul, Amanollah Mostaghim and his family, dear to us who watch from afar, as are all the highly regarded and distinguished believers who illuminate the dank detention centers in the land where the light of God first dawned.

I support these students and their instructors to full equal treatment with their non-Baha’i compatriots.
