Iran has announced the trial of seven Baha’i individuals, who acted as the Iranian Baha’i Community’s coordinating body since the execution of the last formal administrative body more than 30 years ago. The charges brought against the accused include “espionage on behalf of Israel”, “insult to the sacredness of Islam”, and “propaganda against the regime”. The seven Baha’is are currently being held in Evin Prison near Tehran.

Iran Press Watch documents the case in posts that follow below:

    Iran can not be trusted!
30 years ago, Iran held American diplomats hostage for 444 days and threatened them with trials and death penalties. Today, 30 years later, Iran is holding its law abiding Bahai population hostage and is threatening them with trials and death penalties. To this day instead of addressing Iran’s mounting problems, Iran’s leaders have chosen to use innocent people as scape goats for their problems. This is crime against humanity. Simply put,
    Iran can not be trusted!

God bless the Baha’is of Iran, whose sacrifice and sufferings are reminiscent of the purity and selflessness of the early Christians and the companions of the Prophet and Iman Husseyn.

It is sickening in this age 2009 that a country can arrest and even murder human beings for no other reason than their religious belief. They were becoming a recognized cultural and economic power prior to the change to Dictatorship telling people what to wear what to believe. What to read or watch on TV everything is monitored even our phone calls.Such a ppity the great country has been taken back several centuries and treat people as if they were mindless.
The persecutions they are guilty of in this life will be accounted for in the next world and all the worlds of God.
Those who are suffering now under these greedy so called clergy will recieve
wonderful confirmations and be raised up to a much higher level under the eyes of God in thei paradise.
    God bless all of them
