According to a report by the campaign of “No to Imprisonment and Persecution of Baha’is”, on Friday, May 11, 2018, Mehrdad Heyrani, a Baha’i citizen residing in Tehran was arrested and transferred to an unknown location by intelligence agents after his residence was searched and his personal belongings such as computer and religious books were confiscated.

An informed source said: “Intelligence agents first went to Mr. Heyrani’s house and could not find him there. They learned that he was at his friend’s house in Fardis neighborhood in Karaj. They went there, arrested him and took him to his home. While searching the house they confiscated his personal belongings including religious books and computer… and then he was transferred to an unknown location.”

In recent weeks, Iranian security and judicial organizations have arrested several Baha’is in different parts of Iran.
