In addition to governmental and diplomatic offices, media outlets, international organizations and human rights agencies, a notable portion of the readership of this site comes from the Baha’i community. Iran Press Watch is pleased to share the joyous sentiments of Ridvan festivities with its Baha’i readers. Baha’u’llah, the Founder of the Baha’i religion, declared His mission during the period of the first Ridvan, April 21-May 2 1863, and inaugurated a process that will eventually lead to universal peace and brotherhood – a hope shared by all divine religions and people of good will.
To mark this celebration for our Baha’i readers, Iran Press Watch is pleased to share the attached tape of Hand of the Cause of God Mr. Tarazu’llah Samandari about his reflections on the significance of Ridvan and Baha’u’llah’s declaration. This talk was delivered during the Baha’i World Congress in Spring 1963 in London at which the first Universal House of Justice was elected.

I highly recommend the book, “Moments with Baha’u’llah” a small collection of dear Mr. Samandari’s remembrances from his pilgrimage to Haifa and Akka during the end of the life of Baha’u’llah, whom he had the extreme good fortune to meet as a teenager.
Mr. Samandari lived a very long, vigorous life, even visiting California in 1968 when he was past the age of 90. Truly an amazing man!
Joyous Ridvan to all!

Thank you IPW for this! And I second sb about that book, it is sweet and small, like Persian noql! :) Happy Ridvan to all the Baha’is of the world and to all the good people of the world, since it is the Festival of the Divine Springtime!

Sweet remembrances, and Mr. Samandari always had his hand over his heart in adoration of the Blessed Beauty. Thank you!
