Trial of Recently Detained Baha’is to Start “this Week” in Tehran

(MNBR) The semi-official Fars News Agency quoted today the Tehran persecutor Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi as saying that the trial of the recently detained Baha’is of Tehran “will be this week in a revolutionary court in Tehran”. He repeated the absurd charges that the Baha’is were behind the mass protests on Ashura (December 27), and that in the homes of several of the arrested weapons and ammunition were found. As we’ve mentioned, the crime of an armed struggle against the Islamic Republic carries the death penalty.

The Baha’i World Community flatly denied those charges. Diane Ala’i, the Community’s Representitive to the UN told the AFP that “without doubt, these are baseless fabrications devised by the government to further create an atmosphere of prejudice and hatred against the Iranian Baha’i community.”

According to a BBC Farsi report, the nine Bahai’s who were arrested on January 3, 2010 are: Babak Mobasher, Lava Khanjani-Mobasher, Negar Sabet, Jhinoos Sobhani, Artin Ghazanfari, Nasim Biglari, Sa’id Rowhani, Mehran Rowhani, and Payam Fanaian.

This shows how desperate Aya Khamenei has become that now he has to fabricate armed strugle charges against you Baha’is AND during Ashura of all times.

For the past 30 years the agents of ministry of inteligence had seached and researched all Baha’i homes and belongings in Iran and kept eyes on all their movements and came back empty handed each and every time including ALL the past Ashuras.

This rift between the White Turban and Black Turban and the people in Iran can’t be overcome by Aya K. and Company harassing or killing of even all your coreligionists in Iran. People don’t believe them. We Iranians are smart and patient and we know. It’s the leadership that is fragile and frantic.

    My friend,
Let me introduce you to my many Baha’is friends who are from a Jewish background. There are many. Just as there are many Baha’is from a Muslim background. You are right to say the Israelis can’t become Baha’is. But, this is true of any Israeli: Christian, Jew, Druze, Muslem. The reason is to not create more religious tension in a land filled with religious tension. If they leave Israel, the can convert.
It is difficult to find good information if everything you know comes fromstories you’ve heard repeated over and over with no direct proof. This is the case with the charge that Israel funds Baha’is. It is simply not true. Baha’is accept no money from any outside sources for anything. This has always been the case. Please look for outside sources so you can truly be a rational thinker.
    Blessings to you,

The injunction against Bahá’í membership by citizens of the Holy Land goes back to the time of Bahá’u’lláh. This is a direct instruction of Bahá’u’lláh. BTW, how can there be a “secret pact” as claimed, if it is known by “Rational Thinker” and described here, in full view of everyone? Perhaps “Rational Thinker” has graciously proved the opposite; no “secret pact” exists. The Bahá’í Shrines and Gardens and the establishment of the Bahá’í World Centre grew out of the persecution and forced exile of Bahá’u’lláh and His followers, by Muslims. “They plotted, and God plotted. God is the supreme Plotter.”
