According to a report from the “NO to the Harassment and Imprisonment of Baha’is in Iran” campaign, on the morning of September 7, 2016, Yeganah Agahi,  Adib Janamian,  Parvin Nikaeen, and Arshia Rouhani, four Baha’is who had been previously arrested and tried in late October of 2015, were once again summoned to a court in Isfahan, and were indicted.

After repeated interrogations and indictments, they were handed new charges of “membership in outlawed Baha’i organization” and “acting against national security”.

Based on the reports, these four Baha’i youth were indicted and the amount of their bail was raised from four hundred million tomans (approx $130,000) to one billion two hundred million tomans (over $380,000). They were released after their new bail was paid and their court date was set.

Earlier, on Sunday, November 15, 2015, these four along with twelve other Baha’is were arrested in Tehran, Isfahan, and Mashhad after agents of the Ministry of Information raided their homes.

Their families were banned from attending the court room at the time of their hearing. In addition, they were denied legal representation in these court sessions.
