Editor’s Note: As announced by the Universal House of Justice and the Baha’i International Community, in light of recent objections by Ayatollah Qorban-Ali Dorri Najafabadi, Iran’s Attorney General, the rudimentary Baha’i administration that had been functioning in Iran for the past two decades to organize Baha’i weddings, funerals and other basic religious functions with the government’s de facto consent is now in process of ending its activities. The following is a translation of a letter that the National Youth Committee has sent to local youth groups throughout the country – a pdf file of the original is attached.
Esteemed Co-workers, Allah’u’Abha,
Along with expressing our gratitude to cooperation during this period to each of the Local Baha’i Youth Leaders and all the other dear youth, we would like to announce that following the recent decision by the honored group of Yaran Iran [“Friends in Iran”] and approval by the Universal House of Justice, the National Baha’i Youth of Iran brings to a conclusion its activities at this point in the history of the Faith in the sacred land of Iran.
We request that the attached letter addressed to all the Baha’i youth of Iran be shared with youth in whatever manner you wish.
It is hoped that we will continue to assist one another in the discharge of our spiritual duties through the celestial confirmations attracted through our supplications.
May you all remain forever beneath the shade of His confirmations in service to the precious Faith.

Bravo! whatever sacrifice is made for the sake of the Cause, a manifold bounty is revealed.
“Thoughts of love are constructive of brotherhood, peace, friendship, and happiness.
When soldiers of the world draw their swords to kill, soldiers of God clasp each other’s hands! So may all the savagery of man disappear by the Mercy of God, working through the pure in heart and the sincere of soul. Do not think the peace of the world an ideal impossible to attain!
Nothing is impossible to the Divine Benevolence of God.
If you desire with all your heart, friendship with every race on earth, your thought, spiritual and 30 positive, will spread; it will become the desire of others, growing stronger and stronger, until it reaches the minds of all men. ”
The voices of a few are temporarily hushed while Oprah proclaims to millions that the solution to all the world’s ills is a spiritual one.

The Baha’is of Iran have again demonstrated their whole-hearted love for their country, even when its rulers will not reciprocate that love.
Indeed, “. . . may all the savagery of man disappear by the Mercy of God . . .”
This is a signal act made of the only substance in the Baha’i arsensal; radiant acquiescence. Thank you Liz for your comment. This is a deed that the beloved Master, Abdul Baha would fully countenance. The Baha’is of the U.S. supplicate with the Baha’i youth of Iran.
