A Baha’i, Majid Eslami, Arrested in Yazd

AHANA – On April 29, agents from the Intelligence Ministry in Yazd entered the house of Majid Eslami, one of the city’s Baha’i residents, and arrested him after conducting a house search.

According to a RAHANA reporter, the agents seized a number of items including a satellite receiver, books, CDs and pictures related to the Baha’i faith.

A few months ago, the Intelligence Ministry’s local office in Yazd had shut down Eslami’s flower stand in one of the city’s hospitals.

I know Majid from my short stay in Yard 11 years ago. He is a very humble person with a beautiful heart. He has a big smile on his face all the time and is exceptionally kind. I had great fun with him. May God bless him and all the people who stand tall and strong in the face of these persecution.
