Washington, 18 February (IranVNC)—An Iranian member of the banned Baha’i faith has been arrested in the northern city of Sari, the Human Rights Activists in Iran website reports today.
Torreh Taqi-Zadeh was arrested without charge on 15 February, after being summoned to the Intelligence Ministry’s press office. Security officials had raided her house on 9 February, during which they confiscated books, religious images and other personal items, the report says.
According to the report, Taqi-Zadeh is the third member of the Baha’i community who is being held by Iranian authorities in Sari.The report names Feizollah Roshan and Foad Naimi as the two other Baha’is being held in that city.
