Greetings to all my Iranian compatriots, especially my Baha’i compatriots!

I just want to say that we the Shi’ite population of Iran, have not been decent faithful brothers and sisters to you.  With the victory of the Revolution, everyone was cooperative and happy; with the victory of the Islamic Revolution even the communists, the Tudeh Party (1) and the Nationalists cooperated with the Islamic Revolution, because they thought that upon the rolling up of the Monarchy, the doors of freedom would open to all ‒ however, the only population who did not know to whether to be happy or sad were the Baha’is, as they were well aware that with the coming to power of the Shi’ites, turmoil might well overwhelm their lives.  This is why for the past 35 years we have inflicted many atrocities upon you, we have made you suffer, pulled you out of your homes and thrown you in prisons, we interfered with your livelihood and brought you much sorrows and pain, and we forced you away from your own homeland.  In any case, as a Muslim, I am ashamed, and on behalf of those who understand I apologize to you, and hope that in a future Iran you will live side by side in peace next to the Sunnis, the religious people or the atheists, all together as Iranians and in peace, in a civilized society, a calm society, a mature society in which wisdom will have the first word.  Please accept our apology, in hopes of better days.

-Mohammad Nourizad (2)

Oh thank you Mohammad Nourizad! May the blessings and bounties of the Almighty be with you and yours.
…”Ere long will the state of affairs within thee be changed, and the reins of power fall into the hands of the people. Verily, thy Lord is the All-Knowing. His authority embraceth all things. Rest thou assured in the gracious favour of thy Lord. The eye of His loving-kindness shall everlastingly be directed towards thee. The day is approaching when thy agitation will have been transmuted into peace and quiet calm. Thus hath it been decreed in the wondrous Book”…

Thank you Mohammad Nourizad! You have set a noble example.
It is about time, after 172 years, for the remaining 80 million Iranian population (99% Muslim) to understand what truly has been happening to the Baha’is of Iran, mature up and apologize, and start a Truth & Reconciliation process, if they ever want Iran to become prosperous again.
Justice will be served, but patience is required on the part of the oppressed.
