All religious and tribal minorities in Iran have lived under considerable pressures during the last 30 years and suffered various forms of discrimination and persecution. The Jews of Iran are no exception, and in some ways have been persecuted with even greater intensity than others because of allegations of their closeness to the State of Israel.
The short documentary “Jews Undercover – Iran” provides a close look at this community and the manner that it has preserved itself during the last three decades. While dealing with all forms of these pressures, the Jewish community of Iran – like all other minorities of that land – continues to live and hope for a time when freedom of expression and liberty to worship is provided for all peoples of that nation.
