Sounds like a real crime to me. Let people start attending religious meetings and pretty soon they might actually pray to God, or try to observe His commandments. Am I the only one who sees something slightly off about this?? I was thinking this was the ” Islamic” Republic of Iran, and unless I am mistaken, Islam is a Faith of God that teaches tolerance, respect, honor and submission to the Will of God. So unless it is the will of God that these Baha’is not worship God, I’m confused. Please God, may we all submit to Thy will, and make Thy pleasure to be our pleasure, Thy laws our laws, love for Thee love for Thy creation.

The Baha’is, the most peace loving religious group on the planet practically, are under the most heavy cloud of hatred and vindictive relentless persecution in Iran today. We, citizens of many religions and nationalities around the world, look with horror at what the Islamic Republic of Iran is shamelessly carrying out against any Baha’i that they can find in Iran. Quite simply put, if you even say “I’m a Baha’i” that is a criminal offense in Iran. The fanatic fundalooniest Islamic Shi’i clergy are behind all this hatred. I’ve been a Baha’i 50 years and I have dedicated my life to sharing the loving Message of Baha’u’llah with as many people I can today AND I DEDICATE ALL THAT EFFORT IN THE NAME OF ALL THESE PERSECUTED BAHA’IS OF IRAN. In their names, I pray, every day that as many people as possible will honor the sacrifice of these angels of Iran. Don’t let their memories ever face, keep their names alive everyday in our prayers to whatever God you worship.

I only want to share this beautiful prayer written by Baha’u’llah before the turn of the 19th century – even then the members of the Baha’i Faith were being persecuted in the country of it’s birth. It still continues . . .

“He is, in truth, the Omnipotent, the Unconstrained!
O Lord of Names and Fashioner of the Heavens!
Free Thy lovers from the prison of the enemy.
Verily, Thou art the Sovereign Ordainer of Thine irrevocable decree,
He Who alone shineth resplendent on the horizon of creation.
O Everlasting Root! By the life of the All-Glorious,
deprive them not of hope, nay rather aid and assist them.
Verily, Thou rulest as Thou pleasest and within Thy grasp
    lie the kingdoms of creation.
The fangs of Thine enemies have been whetted, ready to bite into the flesh of Thy lovers.
    Protect these companions,
O Thou Who rulest over all humankind and art the Judge on the Day of Judgment.”

    – Baha’u’llah
