A Baha’i Ranked in the Top 0.03% in the Iranian National University Entrance Exam Prevented from Continuing Her Studies

According to reports received by the “NO to the Harassment and Imprisonment of Baha’is”, Nawgol Zakerian, a resident of Karaj, passed her National University Entrance Exam successfully with a high ranking of 482 (out of 1.4 million participants*) but was told that due to a lack of proper documentation she could not continue her studies.

In addition her brother, Shayan Zakerian, who was also successful in his Entrance Exam in 2009 in electrical engineering at Molla Sadra College in Ramsar, was expelled in the beginning of the second semester of 2010 for being a Baha’i.
