Expulsion of three Baha’i students from Payame Noor University in Bojnourd

Harana News – Through an announcement on its official site, dated the 26th of Esfand (17 March 2010) of last year, Payame Noor University in Bojnourd confronted three Baha’i students with being “denied the right to study”.

According to Harana reporters, Shayan Sana’i, Mona Sharifi Mahabbati and Anoush Sharifi Mahabbati are Baha’i students who were studying in the fields of I.T. Specialist, Geology and Computer (hardware) respectively, at Payame Noor University in Bojnourd.

When they returned to the university, following the Naw Ruz (Persian New Year) break (in March), they were prevented from attending classes, and were subsequently expelled from university at the direction of the President of the university.

    This is open discrimination and should be addressed practically so that these kind of shameful act of injustice could never take place.

    It is the prime responsibility of Iranian Youth and Students to stand against this injustice because who knows it could happen to any any where.
