UN Secretary-General Concerned Over Threats Against Shirin Ebadi

3 January 2009 – Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon today expressed his great concern over reports that Iranian lawyer, human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Shirin Ebadi has been threatened recently.

It has also been reported that her Center for the Defense of Human Rights has been broken into and materials taken, and that hostile crowds have gathered outside her office and home.

Mr. Ban “calls on the Iranian authorities to take immediate measures to prevent any further harassment and to ensure Shirin Ebadi’s safety and security,” according to a statement issued by his spokesperson.

    Dear friends,
    It is high time the Muslims are waging a war on Allah when they killed innocent human beings. Whoever kills God’s children kills Allah too. The Shiah kill the Sunnis and the Sunnis killed the Shiah. Baha’is do not belong to neither of this. They believe in Allah or God and therefore stop killing any God’s children because of your ignorance or animal nature but claim to be holy.
    Everybody who disobeys Allah’s Law will pay either in this world or in the next.
