World Press on the Trial of the Seven Baha’i Leaders

The anticipated sham trial of the seven Baha’is leaders in Iran during the week of February 16, 2009 has provoked a strong condemnation throughout the world press.  In almost every language and in every country of the world, journalists, diplomats, prominent citizens and many others have denounced the intentions of the Iranian government to try these innocent citizens on baseless charges of: “espionage for Israel”, “insulting religious sanctities” and “”propaganda against the Islamic Republic.”

Reference to a sampling of these reactions will be posted on Iran Press Watch.  Should readers be familiar with other media coverage, links (url) to those stories would be appreciated and will be added to this collection.

How brave they are. Their willingness to stand in the Faith of Baha’u’llah is an example for all people of true faith and conscience. The whole world is focused on Iran. This could very well be their finest hour!
